Among the goals of this study group are the reflection of Stravinsky's artistic individuality, and the mutual influence between eastern and western styles of composition of his time as well as to help to overcome informational, socio-cultural, and language related barriers still seperating colleagues from East and West.
The inaugural international meeting took place in the course of the IMS Symposium in Minsk in summer 2009.
The next meetings of the study group are planned to be held in Petrozavodsk (Russia) in September 2011, and in Rom in July 2012.
