Shostakovich and his Epoch: Contemporaries, Culture, and the State

Thanks to significant recent findings from the materials in the Shostakovich Family Archiv previously unknown facts have contributed to the understanding of the 'phenomenon of Shostakovic' and its evaluation in the context of his epoch.
The study group's preliminary meeting took place in Minsk on 4 September 2009.
Future meetings will be held in Petrozavodsk in September 2011 and in Rom in 2012. ...

Stravinsky between East and West
